Touch the Ocean and ELEPHANT ART?

In the one-on-one healing sessions in the water with dolphins and humans, it is shown how each dolphin can have her or his own signature style in the healing process. This is not fiction or fantasy. I’ve been asked how is it possible? Dolphins, it’s assumed, can only respond to operant conditioning, that is, training based on the reward/punishment model first introduced by Pavlov and his dog. Dolphins are sentient beings. Respectfully, no two dolphins treat and relieve conditions that require healing in a human, the same way.

Each dolphin is quite precise in her or his individual approach.

For this entry in the blend for the new book, Touch the Ocean: The Power of Our Collective Emotions, let’s no look at “elephant art.” Yes, ELEPHANT ART! Art that is rendered by elephants on high quality acid free paper.

There are twelve “elephant artists.” Like in the healing sessions with the dolphins in the Bahamas, under the auspices of the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, force is not used or introduced into the equation. Some elephants have a aptitude for painting, others do not. Some dolphins are more into doing healing work with us, others would rather play, hang out,or do something else. Force does not work.

(Nor does force or coercion work on human beings)

It can take one day to find out if an elephant can paint. The mahouts simply put the brush into the trunk of an elephant and then sees what will happen, if anything. Each elephant then paints in their own distinctive style, without any training in how to paint. It comes naturally.

No two paintings are alike.
